Como dizer A MELHOR COISA DE SE em inglês?

- A melhor coisa de se ler um livro é…
O pessoal mais ligado à gramática normativa diz que falar assim é errado. Mas, o fato é que a maioria dos brasileiros fala assim no dia a dia.
Como o assunto aqui não é o certo ou errado em língua portuguesa, então veja aí como dizer A MELHOR COISA DE SE em inglês.
A Melhor Coisa de Se em inglês
Em inglês, a expressão usada para passar essa mesma ideia é a seguinte:
The best thing about (1) is (2)
Lembrando que onde estão os números (1) e (2) você completa com o que quiser. Desde que faça sentido claro. Veja só:
- The best thing about living in a city is …
- The best thing about learning English is…
- The best thing about reading a book is…
Claro que há variações para isto! Mas por enquanto vamos ficar só com esta.
Note que após o about usamos um verbo com -ing (o tal do gerúndio em inglês). Não pergunte o porquê! Apenas lembre-se que é assim que eles falam! Ou seja, você aprende assim, para evitar falar/escrever errado depois.

Muito obrigado a todos!____________Carlão,Não é comum encontrarmos em livros, dicionários, corpora, etc, etc esta expressão com o "OF".Ou seja, o mais comum é com "ABOUT". Logo, é com a expressão toda que você deve se preocupar em aprender "the best thing ABOUT". Não se questione porque é "about" e não "of". Apenas aprenda a expressão da forma como eles diriam!;)
