Em sentido figurado, a expressão o tempo vai fechar é comumente usada para expressar uma ameaça. Muitas vezes ela aparece junto a uma condição: “se você não vier aqui agora, o tempo vai fechar“, “se você não retirar o que disse, o tempo vai fechar“. Creio que você já entendeu; portanto, vejamos como dizer o tempo vai fechar em inglês.

Uma maneira simple é dizer “the going will get tough“, que também pode ser interpretada como “o bicho vai pegar“, “a coisa vai ficar feia“, “a chapa vai esquentar“, “a parada vai ficar sinistra“, “o bagulho vai ser louco“.
